04 a year Job Summary Manages student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of the schools and district; Maintains discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students and staff in accordance with school and district policies; Ensures the adequate supervision to assure health, welfare, and safety of all students; Requests clarification of school rules and procedures, if necessary; Implements lesson plans, while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate; Maximize time on task by ensuring that all classroom lessons and activities are directly tied to science standards; Prepares and administers subject/topical specific tests and labs to measure student abilities and progress; Prepares, sets-up and cleans-up science lab activities; Takes all responsible precautions to provide for health and safety of the students and to protect equipment, materials, and facilities; Organizes students for effective instruction; Actively participates in extracurricular activities when necessary; Performs other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s) in accordance with school/state policies and practices; Attends work regularly and is punctual; Salary highly competitive based on experience.
